DESCRIPTION:Join Katy as she leads the opening drum circle for the Baltimore Rhythm Festival around 3:30pm.  This will be an AMAZING DAY!!!  Please join us!\n\nBaltimore Rhythm Festival: A Spirited Day Celebrating the Power of Rhythm and Community in Baltimore City.\nThe festival begins at noon with a blessing and prayer and continues all afternoon with two stages\, workshops\, children’s activities\, open mic\, vendors\, and the festival drum jams that are like no other.\n\nOur Yard Stage\, Street Stage\, and Community Stage will feature a mix of local\, national and international performance acts. Our workshops welcome beginners and those with more experience and are hands on and lots of fun.\nBring your drum if you have one\, we have a Drum check space for our guests!\n\nOur children’s area has craft activities and opportunities to play music. Vendors will offer delicious soul lifting options for all (vegetarian/vegan options available). Vendors will also offer unique crafts\, art\, clothing\, jewelry\, and drums and other musical instruments will be available.\n\nThe day will conclude with an all star FREE concert upstairs at the Guilford Hall Brewery\, featuring Orlando Cotto and headliner Weedie Braimah and his crew\, along with greats in the region in the West African drumming tradition including our own Menes Yahudah\, Malarie Moore\, Amadou Kouyate\, Atiba Rorie and many other notables!\n\nThe Baltimore Rhythm Festival is proud to be a fiscally sponsored program of Fusion Partnerships.
