We are delighted to welcome back Katy Gaughan, Drum Circle Facilitator, and Lisa Bardack, Sacred Circle Dance Facilitator, for our 4th annual retreat celebrating and honoring the Earth through sacred rhythm, connection, and reverence. Join these gifted and captivating facilitators at the beautiful Hudson Barn on Delight Farm in Sparks, MD for an inspiring and grounding day of drumming, sacred dance, reflection, and renewal.

The flow of our time together will be a gentle exchange of music and motion followed by quiet reflection, allowing each practice to deepen the next. Together we will connect to the rhythms of the Earth, our own bodies, and each other. Drumming is an ancient technology and one of humanity’s oldest spiritual practices that is now understood in new ways. The heartbeat lives in all of us and invites us to entrain to something bigger than ourselves. Sacred circle dance is an ancient tradition that honors the seasons and cycles of life and celebrates our interconnectedness through simple, shared movement.

Long before words became our primary language, rhythm and movement connected people to the Earth, to one another, and to the Sacred. These ancient practices were the primary languages of human expression, born out of the Earth. They are needed more than ever in these times of great challenge, fragmentation, and transformation. Drum and dance with us to ground into the energy of the Earth, as we allow the ancestors and Mother Earth to guide us with sacred understanding.

Our day at the farm looks like:

Morning: Drum, Dance, Reflect, Dance

Lunch: Please bring a bag lunch and beverage

Afternoon: Drum, Dance, Reflect, Drum

No previous drumming or dance experience is needed. Katy and Lisa will guide you every step and every beat of the way! Drums will be provided, or you are welcome to bring your own.
